A load of nonsense, the more so when the "study" states that Chiang Mai is the world's second most healthy city!

I say "nonsense" because the thread heading gives absolutely no indication of what was studied. At the start it writes this -
The study ranked each city based on the number of parks, gyms, spas, yoga and pilates studios, health food shops and vegan-friendly restaurants and eating options are available. The average cost per night to stay in a city and the hours of sunlight were also used to create the rankings.
It then importantly adds -
Cities like Melbourne, Vienna, Tokyo, Montreal, Zurich and Berlin, which commonly get reported in the recognised annual world rankings for the world’s best cities, don’t even figure in the TravelSupermarket list.
Fake news! Rubbish! :o :o

Obviously the people who wrote the article have never visited Pattaya.

It would have been hilarious if they had. I can see a guy carrying a clipboard with one hand while rubbing his eyes to relieve the stinging from the carbon monoxide with his other as he trips in one of the bottomless craters in the sidewalk and then nearly gets run over by a drunk tour van driver.

I just surfed 7 sites which list the healthiest cities in the world from reliable sources and, as one would expect, Pattaya doesn't appear anywhere in the rankings...not even in the top One Thousand.

Including "life expectancy" as one of the criteria in the survey would have been nice as the proof is in the pudding as they say. Ironically, Thailand doesn't make the hit parade in this category either. I think they're tied with Libya.

Maybe the article is correct. Maybe everybody who becomes ill simply leaves Pattaya, so of course the "study" would show Pattaya as being especially healthy. You know - just like there are no gays in Iran. Of course there aren't gays in Iran. They just kill them, so, no gays . . .

Well looking at some of the people staggering around does serve as a reminder to live a little healtier.

For example some of the Arabs managed to end up seriously overweight at a relatively young age.
Even a significant minority of the Thais seem incapable of walking anywhere, with predictable consequences for their health.
Then we have all the farang tourists who are drinking beer by the early afternoon.
