Re: Onward Flight Tickets

Only once in all my travels. Tiger Air from Taipei to Bangkok. I was going to stay in Thailand on visa-exempt with an extension and had a ticket to Germany 56 (?) days after arrival. But their rules said 30 days, and airline staff wouldn't take a printout from internet I made of the 30 day extension, and my passport with stamps showing I have done extensions before.

All I could do was to book a ticket out of Thailand, and I didn't have a better idea than booking a fully refundable ticket with Tiger Air for Bangkok to Taiwan which cost about 700 EUR. The refunding worked, however losses (1.75% credit card fee and airline fees) were in the range of 70 EUR, whereas a cheap flight out of Thailand (e.g. Bangkok - Phnom Penh) can be had for 35 EUR.
