If we consider supply and demand, surely the "supply" is hotel rooms, tours, flights etc and the "demand" is the customers ?
Now the supply side is going to open as soon as it gets enough bookings to be viable, as they need the cash. The demand side is where the confidence is needed. So according to my understanding, the reference to supply side makes no sense.
