Room Club closed
I noticed yesterday that the Room Club on Dong Tan Beach is closed. There's a sign that says "'RENOVATIONS", it's all boarded up but no one is there renovating, yet?
Re: Room Club closed
Closing for renovation and not renovating during the high season, makes no sense.

Still closed (01.17.2016) for "RENOVATION" but the sign is getting old looking. No renovations yet.
On a brighter note concessions are now 6 rows deep (from 3) and there's no problem getting a free chair except on "cleaning day" Wednesday. The chairs are also better spaced. Supply and demand are in pretty good equilibrium now.
So something changed but I don't have a clue. I asked but the answer was to not to ask questions!

Re: Room Club closed
Update: On a recent visit to DongTarn (24 March, 2016) I noticed that there are indeed renovations on going at the Room Club after many months of closure and inactivity.
Beach concessions remain restricted to 4 rows and packed in like sardines. The Army is still checking. You're elbow to elbow with crusty- old- harry- sweaty- smelly- wrinkled- bald- fat and sometimes smoking farangs. Other than that, it's nice.

Boys. What about boys? Are there boys at the beach or is it still virtually devoid of boys?Trongpai wrote:Other than that, it's nice.

Whom are you referring to? Don't leave me guessing!Trongpai wrote:You're elbow to elbow with crusty- old- harry- sweaty- smelly- wrinkled- bald- fat and sometimes smoking farangs.
Other then the occasional cute staff or walking vendor or boy brought by a Farang, none. (visit last Monday about 1 to 4 pm)Gaybutton wrote:Boys. What about boys? Are there boys at the beach or is it still virtually devoid of boys?

Agreed, boys are just about absent. Boys on the beach, farang shopping, are a thing of the past. I fired up Grinder on the beach many times and it's almost all farangs.
