Worst Case Scenario.

Will the last person to leave turn off the lights!

What’s going on, today I have just been told about another close friend who is looking to sell up an leave Pattaya for an uncertain future, after living there for nearly 8 years?

So where can you go for a good reasonable Gay life, to retire after Thailand.

Just recently that is 9 up to now long time, semi resident and previous permanent Expats, 4 moving as far away as South America, plus Uruguay, Columbia, and Panama. Another to Cuba, one to Cape Town, Gold Coat of Australia, seems Hot at the Moment, for work and pleasure. For Asia we have Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

Good Luck to him I loved South America many years ago, but all got to dangerous for me, he say he has Boys who take care of him, I heard that from a friend who moved to Costa Rico many Years ago also and he was reported Murdered a few years later.
South American.jpg
Columbia and Uruguay and Panama I would consider are very safe with in reason though.

Lets investigate a bit deeper.

Some others seem to think Chiang Mia is the place to be in Thailand, as the Pattaya Gay Bars are now having to rely on Gay Fem Boys to fill the customers needs, this seems to get many residents really riled up, because tourists don’t seem to know the difference from Alpha Males to a Gay (more fem) Boys, as they have been 11 months just dreaming of having the first Doe eyed Boy they set their eyes on, once they set foot off the plane.

Part of the Problem is many think this year is going to be the bleakest year for Pattaya with the worst low season ever, with the World Financial Crisis thats going to get meaner not better, and what with the police cleaning all the Waifs an Strays off the streets and the free lancers are finding it much more difficult to cruise around Pattaya and Boyz Town as they use to, just look at the Cruise Bar in Boyz Boyz Boyz, it use to be full of boys cruising, now they sit at home and wait for gayromeo to deliver customers like take away, they use to have to shuffle between Café Royal and the Boyz.B.B

Even the after hours bars Dave’s and Nab man Club who do have some of the stunning guys of old, but they would not now be seen dead in a gay area, this is the new classier Boy from a middle class back ground, just looking to top up there parents or family allowances, same applies with the Students on offer around the Royal Palace, try and get them to a gay bar, not Interested....... including all the gay students Bars where I live, they have their own bars an Clubs, not many Farangs venture apart from me and my friends of course, that’s the way they like it.

Another close friend of mine has had enough and going back to Australia to live and work again because the boredom of doing nothing all day he said its slowly sending him completely mad, just going to the Beach, going for a meal and then having a drink at a Host bar, day in and day out, with the Boys that he likes mainly around 21 year olds disappearing from the Bars in Pattaya, as many would not be seen dead in a gay area now days, apart from a few old timers, who locals would not be bothered with, as they have done the rounds so much with very few new boys taking their place.
Panama Military waiting for you.jpg
I have 2 other friends who are moving to Cambodia to get teaching Jobs and 1 to Vietnam, but I must say this does not seem to be very popular with gays, Vietnam is not a gay friendly place to be, no one would dare take a friend to your room in Vietnam, with in minutes your have a policeman knocking on your door, even though Cambodia seems to be more over run with NGO’S, it’s a lot more open and fun, and you can get anything you like there, a big plus is the food is wonderful, as with another friend moving to Laos to open a Mini Market with a Boy he met in a Pattaya Bar, good luck to him I say, but very similar to Cambodia, but a lot more like Thailand in the 1950s and 60s, with good food once again, and very nice boys when you can find them.
Cuba here I Cum.jpg
Another friend who has moved to Columbia, South America, another to Panama one of my favorite places in the World, with Uruguay, may be high up there also, both are very safe and if you want to start all over again, Panama is wonderful for opening a Business and the local surfers are all very willing.
Hot Cuban.jpg
Last but not least 1 has moved back to Cape Town, very nice, bit to dangerous for me though, if you stray from the mapped out tourist areas, where he says the action is happening now. Even though I have another friend who is considering Nepal, but I think a Holiday there would be ok, but to live, I don’t think so, all those Boys with their feet rapped all year to protect from the Cold so smelly.

So where would you move to if Thailand is not the place you thought it was.

What I say is the more guys that leave, the more Boys they leave for us, thank Goddness I know where to find the handsome hunks in Pattaya and Bangkok, but you have to be willing to Hunt for them

But I do like that Chiang Mia Idea hurry up Ill be on the Air Aisa Bus, every month or so, when the fair is 2700 return as it is many times of the year, 50 mintue flight up there, its easier to get to than get to the airport in Bangkok. and the Boys are so manly, not a hint of a lady fem boy there. I love the Thai/Chinese look dont you?

Let us know where you move to, I hear more guys are thinking of moving some where new, as you read this and it might be you soon also, if things get any worst.

The reasons why Super Cheap Chiang Mai is the most popular retirement destination on a budget, in The World and also SE Asia and include:

Low cost, effective health care and the ability to speak English to the doctors many who were trained overseas and the ability to see a specialist promptly unlike Canada where AFTER your family doctor decides he has milked the system for enough money and cannot determine what ails you FINALLY makes an appointment for you to see a specialist in 3 MONTHS.

The foods are delicious and not just affordable but downright cheap as many fruits are grown locally including strawberries. Year around enjoy bananas, mangoes, pineapples, watermelons, apples, durian, and many fruits that I do not even know the name of but which are absolutely declivous.

The cost of living in Chiang Mai from accommodations, to dining, to sightseeing is cheap compared to North America and Europe. Comfortable accommodations for 20-25% of the cost of equivalent accommodations back in North America yet with all the amenities you could want and ask for. Cable tv includes English movies and about 55 channels, hi speed internet even wireless in your room, balcony, mini fridge, DVD, swimming pool, and even kitchenettes.

Chiang Mai is a very safe city to live in and I can walk safely at night anywhere in the inner city without any fears whatsoever, and just outside of the city I have to ignore the dogs that protect individual properties. The dogs will bark to alert the owner and that is it.

There is an abundance of things to do in Chiang Mai, a city that is the second largest in Thailand, home to thousands of foreigners who have discovered that this is the place to retire to, and also Chiang Mai is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. Chiang Mai zoo, temples, man made lake, golf, biking, shopping, massage, to relaxing at the local pub and shooting a game of pool or talking to some expats.

You can live here and communicate in English and not have to learn how to speak Thai. Many Thai's here speak some English and English is spoken at banks, Government offices, and in health care facilities as there are many foreigners living here and also it is a tourist city as well.

It is cooler in Chiang Mai as compared to Phuket or Pattaya. Also safer and lower costs of living here in Chiang Mai compared to Phuket or Pattaya.

and the KEY reason why Chiang Mai is the number one place in Thailand to retire and also the most popular place in all of SE Asia. Over 18,000 foreigners are living there in retirement and happily from what I can tell.

All the foreigners that I have met here have a Thai boyfriend or wife and All are perfectly happy.

Clearing a few Confusions

Thanks Guys, I do love your feed back, but as I have had so many messages about the fact I have contradicted my self, can I please explain for those of hard of hearing.

What I am saying in this Thread is nothing about me, I am quoting 9 guys who have told me they are leaving Pattaya after living there for may years, mostly when I have analyzed them, because they are doing the same thing daily and the boys they are looking for are not given to them on a plate as before but not now and they are not hunters like me, when I was young I had to hunt for Boys, they were not obvious as to be gay in my day it was illegal, so now I am very successful at my conquests and so much so the law of averages states that if you catch the HPV Virus ( to which is nothing to do with HIV for those who are confused 'google' it,) is it very difficult, unless you suck lots of Partners and I found a Gold thread where I could find so many stunning guys, who are the New Bi/Gay Curious and available 90% free, can you believe.

So I hope that clears up I'm not speaking for myself, but just how some guys find themselves like a dog chancing its tail, to end up alone and bored now days, but that's not how I see it I find many handsome guys still, they are every where if you read my previous posts, but you do have to speand a lot of time hunting for them the same as you do when fishing its all the same satisfaction, some times you find a good looking todler, some tims a whopper.;)
