Japan is now facing the biggest disaster ever experienced. I strongly recommend not to visit east Japan (Tokyo and north, north east area) for a while. In west Japan (Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and far west & south), business as usual, however, people are in a kind of emergency mode, many entertainment facilities including saunas or bars are very quiet. Definitely it is not time to enjoy. The mood will get worse when death toll become apparent. Best to avoid traveling to Japan unless you have to come here for business engagement or so.
