Give Buttigieg a chance

If Warren is a party nominee , Trump reelection is guaranteed. And that will be a catastrophe. I personally will never vote for Warren.

Agreed, I like Pete and do not care for Pocahontas but I think as the democratic candidates continue to chew up each other the unpleasant likelihood of a Trump re-election is very likely.

So why is Warren so disagreeable?

I disagree with those who dislike Elizabeth Warren. I very much like her. I hope she wins the nomination and defeats Trump in 2020 - and I think she can do it. She is the only politician for whom I have ever sent in a campaign contribution.

Among several reasons why she is my preference and the reason why I contributed is because she accepts no money from any special interest groups. As far as I know, she is the only candidate, on both sides, who does that.

Gentlemen, please stay focused on the big picture. America, indeed the world will continue to suffer if we don't remain united to stop and dump tRump and Pence. Getting rid of Moscow Mitch and his ilk would be great too! We can't continue to be divided and provide ammunition to the Republican Party and allow them to win.

I am not American, but I lived in the U.S. for many years and follow American politics closely.

I like Warren, and would vote for her if I were American.

Unlike most American politicians, she is bright, articulate, and shows compassion for the underprivileged in society.

Nevertheless, she would have to have a very good campaign to beat Trump. She is probably too intellectual for most Americans and too far left for many "swing" voters.

Warren is polarizing and will not heal the nation. She comes across as a Harvard elitist and not that popular with black voters who must come out and vote in droves for Democrats to win. In the primaries the Democratic base chooses the candidate and she could very well win the nomination. The blue collar, unionized workers who the Democrats took for granted last election will not support any nominee that takes replaces their hard fought for gold plated health care plans for Medicare for All. Medicare can pay for 85% of health care bills and that is why we purchase senior medical plans to make up the difference and provide people like me with urgent and emergency care when traveling overseas. Warren and Sanders say No to private health insurance.

The fact is, in general elections the voters are independents, middle of the road and slightly right of center. I see Warren (or Sanders) as the next Dukakis or McGovern.

Remember to Moody's is predicting Trump's reelection based on their three economic models so nominating a centrist I view as essential. Just think of Trump nominating Ginsberg's replacement, if that doesn't scare any Democrat I don't know what will.

I disagree, but to me it doesn't matter. Whoever ends up as the Democrat presidential nominee, that's who will get my vote. I doubt that impeaching Trump is going anywhere, at least regarding getting him out of office. The only way to get rid of Trump, I believe, is voting him out of office.

Biden, like him or not, has the only chance to beat Trump. Everyone else is only a deterrent.

I agree. I personally favor a Biden/Klobuchar ticket. Why do you think Trump has his tit in the impeachment wringer?.... because he fears Biden. Don't get me wrong, Biden may not be the world's greatest debater but just leave it to the Democrats to nominate a democratic socialist (Sanders) or a Warren who falls flat on her Indian face trying to explain how to explain her programs without raising taxes on the middle class. I hope lessons were learned in the Kentucky and Virginia elections.... Beshear for President!! :D
