#1 Priests' Sexual Abuse Scandals Blamed on the Swinging Sixties!

Old Popes used to just die. The one prior to Pope Francis decided he would instead retire to a life of prayer and penitence. But the 91-year old who, as Cardinal Ratzinger, was the hard-line enforcer behind John Paul !! has decided to speak out on the matter of sexual abuse by so many of the Church's priests and leaders.

In a 6,000 word essay published yesterday, he steps into the sexual quagmire.
“Why did paedophilia reach such proportions? Ultimately, the reason is the absence of God . . ."

Benedict traced the start of the crisis to the 1960s, citing the appearance of sex in films in his native Bavaria and the formation of “homosexual cliques” in seminaries, “which acted more or less openly and significantly changed the climate”. He also attributed it to failures in moral theology in that era.
Ratzinger's analysis has been criticised as “catastrophically irresponsible” by historians and others at the head of the Church, not only because pedophilia in the Church predates the 1960s, but also because "it is a global and not simply western problem, [and] that homosexuality is not the issue in pedophilia”

The old man should disappear.
