Norm Yip: Beyond Skin Exhibition Bangkok

Post by fountainhall »

Having just posted about the From Monet to Kandinsky Exhibition at River City, I noticed that there is another current Exhibition that may be of particular interest to the LGBT community. Norm Yip is a Hong Kong photographer whose photos of nude men have been included in several books and were occasionally seen on tumblr sites. Beyong Skin includes 25 photographs taken over a 20 year period. Although there is no frontal nudity, the Exhibition glorifies the male body in a number of ways.

The Exhibition runs until 31 May. It is at the RCB Photographer's Gallery on the second floor of River City. Free entrance.
This internationally acclaimed photographer has long been an avid pioneer in the development of fine art Asian male photography. He established ‘The Asian Male Project’ which, through his lens, presents artistic images and thought provoking messages. Light and shadow, combine with his love for the classical form, culminating in a superb collection of artistically photographic masterpieces. Yip’s fresh outlook has captivated both Asians and Westerners alike.
