Trump's Military Extravaganza

Trump has been desperate for a Military Parade. Perhaps this is what he has in mind - a variation on the Rockettes? :o

Well, let's guess who will make money at Trump's expensive Parade? That's a no brainer. Trump himself. CNN has reported that if you want a hotel for one night in Washington to watch the fireworks you can still get one at the Ritz Carlton for around $400 a night - no minimum stay.

Want one at the Trump International hotel? Open your wallets, suckers! Room rates have been hiked from around $350 a night to over $1,000. Oh, and there is a minimum three night stay!

Is anyone really surprised?

Trump wants to follow his despotic friends, Putin of Russia and Kim of North Korea, and officiate over grandiose military parades.

From what I saw on TV there was no Military Extravaganza, just an ordinary 4th July Parade.

. . . apart from a long commercial for Trump's Presidential campaign!!

Wonder what he meant when he stated -
the Continental Army "took over the airports" during the American Revolutionary War in the 1770s.
There was air travel at that time? He blamed it on it being difficult to read his teleprompter. Odd! Knowing there was a heavy chance of rain, why didn't his handlers ensure the teleprompters were boxed in in such a way they could be easily read and the autocue not affected by rain?

What would you substitute for airports?

Aerodromes . . . ?

As for what he meant, knowing Trump's intelligence and ignorance level, he probably meant to say, "the Continental Army "took over the aircraft carriers" during the American Revolutionary War in the 1770s."
