Italian restaurant that does not understand the basics. Floor 2 Beachside
Fairly small menu consisting mostly the usual Pasta and Pizza.
No bread served so I ordered some Pizza bread. First an Italian restaurant that does not serve Italian bread starts out with a strike against it IMHO. But at least if you are going to charge 95 baht for some basic pizza bread, I would expect it to be served Hot and fast. Neither took place , it was cold an took 10 minutes in a non busy restaurant. Then I had to ask for a plate and Olive Oil. Once again I expect Olive Oil to be on the table and a plate served with bread.
Finally my Pasta dish came Penne with Sausage in Oil. I had to ask twice for grated cheese which again should be automatic with Pasta dishes. I had to ask for Ground Pepper since there was nothing on the table but paper napkins and utensils.
Maybe it is just me but the charge of 75 baht for a diet coke also rubs me the wrong way at a 6 time mark up.
All and all it constantly amazes me the restaurants that open in high rent areas which do not have a clue to the basics. Skip It!!
