Another visit to Winner Boys

A few boys and customers were sat outside, but covid restrictions are over and I didn't visit to sit on plastic chairs in the street.
Inside the bar there were perhaps 6 customers and 3 boys on stage.
Two were quite hot, including the delightful lad I hadn't seen since sitting with him in December. He was pulling some quite good moves on stage, in his tiny black underwear. Another one was also a serious candidate for an off. The third had too many tattoos, but was slim.
For about 10 minutes or so, this was almost like a gogo bar ought to be. At least two hot lads in underwear, dancing properly.

Then one got invited to sit with customers.
I would have had the remaining cute one sit with me, but with a very mild cold, I figured it would be better for both parties if I kept my distance. Then he went outside, so I abandoned plans to slip him a red note on the way out.

Other boys included one with a beer gut and one with lots of tattoos and a moustache. Both sat with customers.
By about 9:45, the on stage activities had petered out, with most staff sat outside.

I would argue that the USP of this business is the gogo bar and they ought to put the plastic chairs on a bonfire and keep the focus on indoor activities.

However, at least it resembled a gogo bar for a few pleasant minutes. Draught beer is a bargain at 89 baht.

Plastic chairs or not, I think that's the problem - not enough boys. For whatever reasons, the few remaining go-go bars seem to be unable to get enough boys. A grand total of 6 customers are unlikely to attract many boys.

In yesteryear, when the bars were full of boys and full of customers, the boys were there for two reasons. One was trying to hook up with a sugar daddy farang. The other was they were making far more money than they could ever make by staying on the rice farm. Now, neither seems to happen for them, so what would be the attraction for boys to work in the bars?

Whether it's go-go bars or beer bars, I believe the attraction for the boys who do work in them is it gets them off the rice farm, it's easy work requiring zero skill, and it's only a few hours per day. Plus they can come and go as they please and still not be fired. But that's obviously not enough to attract all that many bar boys.

Whether I'm right or wrong about that, one thing I think we all can agree on is there simply are nowhere near the number of boys working in the bars as there were years ago. The bar owners not only need to do things to attract customers, but they also need to do things to attract boys to work in their bars. Unless that happens, I don't foresee anything much changing - or at least not changing for the better.

Well, for a brief period the 3 boys on stage were doing a very good job. Particularly the fit lad in skimpy underwear. So the glass was at least half full.

However, I think the problems are
1 Their boys are mostly not on stage. They probably had about 8 or more boys on the premises, with a maximum of 3 on stage. Some sat with customers and some outside.
Unfortunately they introduced outdoor seating during covid and haven't scrapped it. Remarkably, customers do use the outdoor seating, so I suppose we're stuck with it.
Think of all the host bars in Pattaya. Then, when we have one of the few remaining gogo bars, half the customers sit outside on plastic chairs !
Also, no one is ensuring the boys put in a shift on stage.
When the boys were on stage, it was quite pleasant.

2 Type of boy. These days, the type of slim cute boy that used to be found in Sunee would be from Laos or Cambodia. If Sunee gogo bars can't or won't employ these, it's a problem. (Not everyone shares such tastes in boys, but some of us do)

3 Online dating replacing offs. Actually if I set out to off a cute lad from Winner and he's not there, in the old days we could visit another gogo. Now there are no other suitable gogo bars, so I need to get on the baht bus and head off to Jomtien, or use phone apps. I prefer to have got my phone app appointments agreed earlier in the day, as the boy I'm looking to meet isn't always online 24-7. Particularly if he works in Jomtien in the evening.
So do I want to gamble on the one or two Winner Boys that I like being available?
Particularly when they haven't been there when I visited in January.

However, I will be back. One lad is of particular interest and I haven't found him on the apps.

I was at Winner a week or more ago when there were 9 boys on stage and as many customers. Almost like the good old days! I have known the cute lad in the skimpy underwear for some years and he is very nice.

If Winner's Facebook page is up to date, when I looked at the photos I didn't see even one boy wearing my idea of skimpy underwear. They were in underwear, yes, but skimpy? Not to my eyes.

So far, ever since the bars reopened following the end of the Covid restrictions, maybe I'm expecting too much, but I have yet to see anything that would motivate me to bother with Pattaya's go-go bars. Maybe if Eros finally reopens and under a format much the same as before, that would get me into the bars, but other than that, not enough for me to at least try the bars rather than the apps all the time.

There were 3 cute lads last time. Two on stage as already described. Outside was the third, who likes to keep away from customers, based on past observation.

One of the two on stage has a fit body and a lovely smile. He was wearing genuinely skimpy underwear. Narrow at the front and it was quite remarkable that everything remained where it should, considering the way he was moving on stage. At the rear, it didn't cover all of the cheeks and that's how I like it. Although, for perfection, even less material on the rear would be preferable.

I expect Windwalker and I are talking about the same lad.

Compared to the underwear I have, the lads' underwear were skimpy. He was in one of the photos but not wearing his skimpiest underwear that night. Think #2.
