MiddleEastern with bellydancers ?

Post by ajarn2 »

Hopefully some of you Foodies will be able to help me.
On my next trip to Pattaya I would like to go to a MiddleEastern Restaurant.

First of all has anyone had any dining experiences with an Iranian Restaurant in Pattaya.
I dont know Iranian food,is it shish Kebabs etc or is that Lebanese ?
I would love to go into those just on Second Road as you turn into Sunee, but Im concerned they maybe anti-Western.

Secondly do you know any restaurant with bellydancers ?

I haven't been there, but I understand Ala Turca features them.

Many years ago there was a reataurant in Gret Portland Street, in London, called the Baghdad. Did the best marinaded, charcoal grilled spring chicken I have ever tasted.I was usually there on weekdays, because it was near where I worked.
One evening, the owner stopped by my table for a chat. "You should come in Friday or Saturday" he said "we have belly dancers". Then he leant over the table and whispered "But my wife insists on choosing them, so they are all ugly cows!"

F.Y.I. Recently an Iranian restaurant has opened on the edge of Sunee Plaza and if you ask they will give you a menu in English. As for the belly dancers I will hold my tongue, however there is a "Famous" place that might for a price supply some!
