Nee's Food Mafia - View Talay 1

Post by 2lz2p »

I saw an article in the Pattaya Trader about this restaurant - https://www.pattayatrader.com/2023/06/1 ... fia-bistro and decided to give it a try along with a Canadian friend. It is in Building B of View Talay 1 - there is a large sign and you enter from the parking area.

As recommended in the article, I did try the Limoncello Margarita - it was blue in color, tasty, but you will definitely pucker your lips.

The menu has many items and the prices are very reasonable. My friend had the pate and I had the cold cuts as starters. For mains, he had the pork goulash and I ordered the beef goulash.

Unfortunately, I could eat only one bite of my goulash. It was very tasty but also very spicy (I used to be able to eat very spicy dishes which was why I chose Thai restaurants in the USA, but often had to complain it wasn't spicy enough as they toned it down for their western clientele - however, that has changed and for the past couple of years I can't even tolerate mildly spicy dishes). I had them pack it up to take home for my Thai family to enjoy and mentioned they should put spicy in their menu description. After the cold cuts and bread basket, I decided I didn't want a different main and ordered the pate (quite good as my friend let me previously have a taste of his).

A nice little touch, which I have usually only come across at fine dining restaurants, they delivered our mains at the same time with the plate covered by metal lid which they then removed simultaneously to reveal the plate.

Without a doubt, I will be making some return visits as there were many items on the menu that looked very tempting or on the other hand since they use Grab delivery, I might order some items delivered - they do have their menu on their website page: https://neesfoodmafia.com/.

The menu under deserts mentions a "Freshly Baked Apple Tart" - they do mean "freshly" as we were told there would be a 20 minute wait while it was prepared. But a caution, do ask about how spicy the dish is if, like me now, you can't handle the chilies.
