Excellent taste !
Boys
Re: Boys
I totally agree with everything you said. Im not prepared to go down that rabbit hole of constant spending . We had a great time but probably I’ll return to butterflying when I get back to Thailand.
I enjoy a boyfriend experience, but then think of all the offs that could be had with all that money I give to one guy. I only spend money I can afford to never see again, like going to a casino. I probably shouldn’t have said that’s my guy because he’s had many sponsors in the past and he won’t stop trying to get new ones. Then again he’s running out of time looks wise.

Re: Boys
I have similar preferences. Certainly not too much of a lady boy look, but anyone from a cute boy to a fem boy is my kind of range.
However, if faced with the following options, I usually choose the second.
- 1 A 10/10 cute boy with risks. e.g. He might have a sponsor and be difficult to pull. Or other risks.
2 A 8/10 cute lad who I think will be good in bed, or is charming in other ways & will do enough in bed.
Assuming he's not photoshopping everything, I think he's got a few years yet.
Or you have very high standards !

Re: Boys
Now you're talking good sense. You really had me worried. If it's anything I hate to see, it's one of my board members falling into the money trap, and from your posts it appeared, at least to me, that is exactly what was happening.
Your post above comes a a great relief.
Re: Boys
I also don't like to see boys or farang spending at an unsustainable rate. Whilst respecting that it's also their decision.
Of course, that still leaves plenty of scope to treat a boy very well, if the board member has a bank balance like Bill Gates.
Even for those farang of more modest means, spending less than annual income, or perhaps less than 3% of invested assets per year, means things are unlikely to go too far wrong.
As for the boys, I reckon that unless they have some lucrative career lined up for later in life, the target ought to be to save 2/3rds of their income. Probably only workable for those averaging above one customer per day, or with particularly generous customers.
Re: Boys
This boy was fortunate to meet me at a time when I made a good bit of money during this last crypto bull market that took off in February. So I was treating myself by spending more than I normally would.
One of his post mentioned that he thought he would have an easy life. Not sure if he was thinking I’d be a permanent sponsor of him, Or maybe he’s been very successful having many over the years. Anyway, I couldn’t help thinking, “don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched”

Re: Boys
Well, I know it's not going to happen. But most of these working lads will reach an age where they struggle to earn a living. If they're Thai, they might then earn 400 baht a day in some dead end job. Since most of them actually come from Laos & Cambodia, I suspect the outlook is even worse.
Now if they aim to be reasonably good at their current job and earn above 2000 per day, if they save 2/3rds that still leaves 670 baht for living, which is more than they will have from their next job.
There's also no reason why 2000 should be the earnings ceiling, if they look good and treat customers well. At the rate some of them spend the money, they must be earning well in excess of that (see earlier post).
I can't claim they all do that, but whatever the chosen freelance career, there will be more success for those who try and do it properly.

Re: Boys
You're leaving out the part about how so many of them send as much as they can home to Mama and the family. I've seen a great many boys who will practically starve and live in squalid conditions to be able to do that.
I too can't claim they all do that or even most of them, but the number that do is another factor as to why it's rare for any of them to be prudent about their money as you suggest. I wish they would follow your advice, but the fact is they simply won't. It is also a fact that most of them end up broke and they eventually disappear from the gay scene. Whether it's back to the rice farm or anywhere else, I can't say for sure, but I can say sooner or later most vanish - and they don't vanish rich.
