You may want to do some practicing first before telling the players they're doing it all wrong... especially if you've never learned how to play the game before. Just a thought!
Boys
Re: Boys
If the guy in hospital mentioned a few posts back is the one from 69 Bar in Jomtien, I can confirm that he is very ill indeed. He's been on life support for a few days now, it must be costing his family a fortune. Should anyone want to help to take care of one of the locals who would normally be taking care of us, visit 69 Bar asap (tonight) and speak to owners or managers. Time is of the essence in a desperate life or death situation right now and money is needed to keep the life support switched on. It's definitely not a sick mom scam.
Re: Boys
M bar is very busy now. Hard to find a seat last night. Met a former Night Boys worker and had him. Also a hung ex worker from Winner go go is now there. I guess they get business there.
Was able to give a Hj in the bar. Love to see it turn into Eros bar, ha ha.

Re: Boys
I'm sorry about this. I believe if people wish to donate the best way to do it would be to go to the hospital, donate the money there specifically for him, and do it anonymously to prevent pleas for more and more. Can you tell us which hospital he is in?
Maybe I am too jaded having lived here as long as I have, but I, for one, would not trust money given to anyone connected to a bar to end up where you wanted it to go.
Re: Boys
That's fair enough. I initially questioned the request for money on the night he fell ill but the desperation was evident and in hindsight I wish I assisted sooner. It's a shame that scammers make these decisions difficult. The following morning he was transferred to the Chonburi hospital which I think is where he is now. Please note that I didn't directly suggest handing money to the bar, although in the time of emergency I did indeed give cash to the staff who contacted me. It's just that the staff there are more in the loop than I am.
In addition, there's heartbreak and confusion amongst that circle of guys so any moral support would go a long way.

Re: Boys
I hope this guy gets better soon. What happened to him ?
I have no idea who he is and I don't think I know any of the boys at Bar 69.
Hypothetically, if he were one of the very few boys I know well & a larger donation were under consideration, I think I'd firstly visit the hospital to verify his status.
Then there's the matter of payment. If it were a larger donation, wouldn't you make sure there was an electronic receipt showing payment against that patient's account ?

Making a normal sized donation is one matter.

Re: Boys
His friends observed he was sick well beyond a normal fever and started looking for help getting him into hospital. I don't have a lot of detail but a brain bleed is my understanding.
Once I became aware of what was going on I paid the admission in Pattaya and the ems transfer to Chonburi to get him into the care he needed.
I visited chonburi hospital. The family requested some space and privacy hence I have respected that. Every little bit helps no doubt, I'm sure the bar can give more detail if someone wanted to contact the hospital, I think they're in touch with the family too.

I think it's wonderful that you're helping out the way you are and hope the boys friends and co-workers can garner additional support if needed.
Being sent to Chonburi is never a good sign - and hope that the boy can pull through this. The fact that his family is near him now is a real blessing.
