If you had Thanksgiving dinner, where did you go?

Post by DeE »

We decided to go to a straight bar called Tigglebits about 2 clicks north of Sunee on soi VC north of the signal at third road.

Just finished Thanksgiving dinner there and it was very very good.

Choice of dark or white meat (I ordered both) sage dressing/veggies/proper mashed potatoes & gravey / sliced cranberry / dinner roll / a slice of homemade? apple pie and a slice of pumkin pie. The portions were quite large and actually reminded me of Thanksgiving family dinners back home except for the environment. Pleasant staff and no loud rap crap music.

If you are an American and wish to experience a Thanksgiving dinner that (in my opinion) was good and in fact was the best I have had in Pattaya, you may
want to hurry down there this afternoon/night. I am sure he will sell out before 6pm.

Give the bar a call to maybe make reservations but not sure if they provide that service. 038-427-101. 550b (no ++ crap) just 550b.

Yes, we ate it all and had to take my pies home in a doggie bag I was so full.

Time for a nap.

Cheers

Stayed home cooking all day. Guests will be here in about 20 minutes. Everything seems to have turned out right. :D

We went to Rich Man-Poor Man. We were served individual hors d'oeuvres, followed by a choice of Caesar salad, shrimp cocktail, or penne pasta. Then came the turkey with all the trimmings, and plenty of it. We each got the pieces we wanted too. 550 baht and very well done. We were all delighted with it. Dessert was extra.

At 9:30 this evening I went to the CNBC app. on my phone as I usually do to check on the markets, low and behold the U.S. markets were closed! Ah yes, it is Thanksgiving today.

I will be having Thanksgiving dinner in a couple of hours: brined smoked turkey, green bean casserole, candied yams, fried cabbage, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, cucumber tomato and onion salad, cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, roasted mixed vegetables, cranberry sauce, apple strudel and cherry pie, been cooking for the last 24 hours!

If you're feeling up to it by then, since you already have the turkeys, maybe you can do Christmas, New Year's Eve, or as a special event.
