Captain's Cove

Last night 6 of us tried the new restaurant in the location of the old Great American Rib Company on Threppasit Road named Captain's Cove. We all agreed we would go back again. It is a pleasant non-pretentious place with an overly extensive menu of European and Thai food. The Thai lady owner who speaks perfect English told us the menu is going to be downsized. We all had different dishes - garden salad, onion soup, Thai seafood glass noodle salad, pork Zurich-style, duck, spaghetti Bolognese, chicken with cashew nuts, shrimp fried rice and creme caramel. Everyone was very satisfied with their food and service. All starters were served at the same time as well as the main courses. Unusual in restaurants here! They are not completely up to speed with some changes to come; but they have only been open three weeks. Prices are reasonable. I suggest giving it a try.
