I sure agree that this guy is fantastic. Actually, he is an announced candidate and has soared in the polls and elevated to fourth place among declared candidates.
Oops, I was wrong. Apparently he has not yet formally declared his candidacy, but plans to do so this coming Sunday. Sorry for my mistake.

There have been five openly gay Presidents of countries. I wonder if Buttigieg were to become President, might there be a chance of the awful Mike Pence and his equally awful wife self-combusting? A conflagration devoutly to be wished!

Below is his website and issues positions. Biden is now in the race and offering a middle of the road alternative to the push to the far left. There is also a great deal of pressure to have a female running mate if the winning candidate is male. All of this is stacking up to make his run much more doubtful. It also pushes voters to make that hard decision as to who to vote for e.g who you think can win versus who you think would be he best President. This just confirms that quote from Winston Churchill I believe that said something along the lines of democracy is a terrible form of government but better than any of the alternatives.

A recent poll says Buttigieg can beat Trump. I am surprised and pleased.

He is also doing well against other Democratic candidates:

This could be more interesting than I had expected. A vote for Buttigieg may not be a vote for a candidate that cannot win in my humble opinion. Still a long way to go before decision time.

If he is the Democrat nominee, he definitely gets my vote. But I would vote for nearly anybody as long as it isn't Trump.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg raises more money than Biden or Sanders in the latest round of fund raising but is still trailing at #4 in the polls.
