As mentioned in an earlier post, Emirates has reinstated the A380 on the BKK/HKG route. Until May 17 the airline has promotion prices of Bt. 5,860 in economy class and Bt. 13,160 for biz class. This is applicable till early December.
These prices are even less than EK's prices two years ago for both classes and much less than at the end of last year. Biz class is virtually a steal compared to other carriers which charge about 50% more. The lounges are first class with great food offerings and the lie-flat seating, huge TV screens, extensive in-flight entertainment and the complimentary open bar with canapés at the back make its A380 a huge advance on other carriers. The only problem is that the aircraft is now 2 classes. So the front of the upper deck has 100 economy passengers before you get to the biz class section. That means having to wait to get off the plane. On the other hand, there should be fast track vouchers (there were when I last used this flight).
