Dollar Breaks Through 32 Baht
The dollar and gold continue to be a flight to safety.

Good timing. Hope it gets even better as I'll be there in about 3 weeks.

Currently, yes.
Of course, if we fast forward this a couple of months, perhaps some of the following events might influence exchange rates.
1 A dramatic increase in the number of cases in the USA
2 More borrowing of money printing to stimulate the US economy, with you know who facing an election. Eventually, borrowing should become more difficult.
3 The first green shoots of recovery in the Thai tourist sector, as Chinese tourists start coming back.

Depending on how long this lasts, the question is whether there will be much left for them to come back to. Also whether xenophobia will extend beyond the end of the virus scare.
Maybe this will be over in a couple of months, as you say, and maybe it won't. I don't have a crystal ball to predict how long it will be before it is safe to say the crisis is over.
Re: Dollar Breaks Through 32 Baht
China has been reopening shops businesses and so on. The big question is whether or not they have a recurrence of the outbreak, due to lack of herd immunity.
If they don't have that problem, then China may be a source of tourist income well before Europe or the US.
Even if Thai businesses fail, the assets will just be bought up by other businesses and mostly reopened. If the world is awash with cheap capital that would otherwise earn low interest rates, buying up a hotel at a cheap price and letting it out would be profitable.

I think we may have broken that 32 threshold, let's hope it holds.
