I think if Iran even looks at Trump crosseyed, more attacks will happen, but the quickest will depend on what Iran does next.
I think you're right.

But Trump's gotta be popping valiums right now.

The last thing he wants is a full-out U.S war during his term which would cost him a chunk of his MAGA base (hurray!)...distract him from his crypto currency venture...weaken Republican chances in the mid-terms - possibly giving control of the House and the Senate to Democrats...and tarnish his legacy, if he even has a legacy to tarnish.

I wish the best for the U.S./Israel, but could care less about the fate of Golden Boy.

I guess we'll know in the next few days what Iran's next move is going to be. Time to get some popcorn and grab a front-row seat.

Yes.
In principle I agree with standing up to Iran and preventing those nutters from getting nuclear weapons, including UK action.
In practice, successive UK governments have allowed uncontrolled immigration of middle easterners for years, so we have a major security risk there. Much of Europe is the same.

So I'm quite glad to hear the bombers flew all the way from Missouri, rather than using a UK base. How they refuelled is another question.

That might just make it the longest distance bombing raid in history ? Beating a record set in 1982, when bombers from the UK bombed a runway in the Falkland islands.

Apparently several in-flight refuelings.

Don't be surprised if Trump wants one of these B2 bombers to use as Airforce One when this is all over...painted gold of course with his face photo-shopped on the nose cone.

Trump's speech was a quick 3 minutes, no questions from reporters, and no further word from the White House since. My guess is something more, perhaps much more, is in the works. I would think, or at least hope, the whole thing - the bombing, the international and domestic repercussions, and Iran's retaliation capabilities - were all thought through and Trump and his cronies know what to expect, know what they're doing, and what they are going to do next.

I believe it is only a question of time, probably not much time, before the US strikes again and this time it will be far more than taking out Iran's nuclear capability. Iran says they can rebuild what was destroyed. Wouldn't that invite more strikes down the road? I doubt that Trump could care less about the criticism, no matter where it comes from. He's going to do what he wants as long as he has the power to do it.

I wonder if Hollywood is already planning their mini-series. I wonder who will play Trump . . .

I'm anxious to hear the results (facts) of the actual military intelligence report of the bomb damage.

Trump seemed to know that the 3 nuclear sites were completely demolished before the report was even completed. Amazing!

Trump wouldn't lie - would he?

There are reports that they moved a number of tankers to Europe last week.

The less Trump says, the better. His judgement on what to say & what not to say is poor.

As for what they do next, well the best way to permanently fix this is with regime change. Ideally with a nice Liberal regime that works for the Iranian people and is happy to coexist with all the other middle-Eastern countries. Then everyone is a winner.
Unfortunately, nations are more inclined to start wars and kill thousands of innocent people than they are to assassinate rogue leaders.

However, that's easier said than done. Of course, The Shah was reinstated by a coup in 1953, funded by the US & UK. So external interference might also be a sensitive issue.

I think Jimmy Carter made a big mistake when he refused to return the Shah to Iran when they wanted to put him on trial for his crimes. He was a complete piece of garbage. If Carter had returned him I think things would be completely different now and the USA would be on friendly terms with Iran. Of course Carter refused and that refusal was the beginning of what led to the events going on now.

I also believe Trump is hoping Iran will do something in retaliation that will be enough to give him all the excuse he needs to launch a major attack on Iran. Who knows - maybe Trump will set back Iran so far that the country will be called Persia again . . .

You could be very well right but I have a different take on this:

I think Trump wants to exit the stage immediately....after grabbing the crown-of-glory for himself for destroying Irans nuclear capabilities...and then dump this shit back on Netanyahu's lap so Israel can spend the next hundred years fighting a war with these assholes. Who knows?

Trump has now spoken about regime change:
Trump wrote:It’s not politically correct to use the term, ‘Regime Change,’ but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???" he wrote. "MIGA!!!
Whether he intends to do anything militarily to bring about such change remains to be seen. I won't be surprised if that turns out to be exactly what he's going to do.

Meanwhile, now Iran is in the process of closing the Straits of Hormuz, one of the world's most important petroleum shipping waterways. I don't picture Trump taking kindly to that.

I believe this is far from over and as Al Jolson used to say, "You ain't seen nuthin' yet."
