It always amazes me how people like that manage to get into positions of power. What a crop of politicians the USA has been producing lately! Somehow, I don't see too many George Washingtons, John Adams's, Benjamin Franklins, or Thomas Jeffersons these days. Sometimes it seems as if all you have to do to be elected to a political office is to be a total schmuck.

If I ever go back to the USA, the first thing I'll do is run for office. I'd be a shoe-in . . .

From the great state of Tennessee, that bastion of intolerance , that state that brought you The State of Tennessee v. John Thomas Scopes now has actually passed this bill out of the House. You hear a lot of cockamamie bills being proposed but this one from the State of Tennessee may well be the way to being the law.
