Fasirung: a Gay-owned restaurant in Sukhothai, Thailand
GB recently asked what people did to escape Songkran in Pattaya. Well, I took trip to Sukhothai where I found no Gay bars. However, I found Fasirung, a Gay-owned restaurant located in the middle of nowhere just outside of Sukhothai. It is run by Luc from Belgium and his BF of 20 years, Wichai.
Fasirung specializes in serving wild game: venison, ostrich, crocodile, and salmon prepared Thai or Western style. (They actually have an ostrich farm out back.)
Dinners cost under 200 Baht. Seating is at outdoor gazebos in their garden setting.

Every October 31 (Luc's birthday), they hold a Miss Fasirung Kathoey contest, a popular event.
