Rogie, thanks for the excellent post. I thought it was really clarifying about the sources of criminality and responses to stress. The problem I have is that given that there appears to be more and more people unable to cope with changing society, what do we do with them? I'm sure not for inhumane treatment - especially after reading your article since it only increases stress level - or for drug therapies - since as your post points out they make the problem worse - but then what? Some adolescent (or adult for that matter) that maims and brutalizes or murders others simply can not remain at large. But once locked up, what do we do with him? Let's not forget he is being housed with others and without some controls is likely to continue his antisocial responses to stress. I have no solution but would welcome hearing the ideas of others.
