I wouldn't care about Obama being a Muslim as such, but if it came to light now, I would care about him having lied when questioned in the past.

What really frustrates me about American electoral system that it is archaic. I suspect that most of the people here are registered in California and New York (and at least some of them mostly concerned about their government privileges rather than anything else)and hence their vote really does not matter. Similarly, my state will go for Romney no matter what. In reality perhaps only Gaybutton vote probably matter, since he is from the swing state of Florida. Or take, for example, so called polls which are in abundance now and show unbelievable fluctuations of results which raises a natural suspicion about the objectivity of at least some of them. This should be compared e.g. with polls in France which were accurate all the way despite razor thin difference between candidates. Unfortunately, America losing the edge as a leading Democracy and that is why demagogues like Obama can thrive, win elections and destroy the country as a result. I firmly decided that I leave the country permanently if Obama will become the President again.

Better start packing your bags. Where will you be going?

I will go to Shanghai, Macau or Hong Kong. In my opinion, reelection of Obama means imminent crisis in US (which he actively prepares) and collapse of US currency. Since pretty much all fiat currencies are Dollar based, it will mean the collapse of global financial system. People who bet on Gold most probably lose, since Gold either will be confiscated by Marxist dictatorship or if chaos prevails, it simply will be very dangerous to own the Gold or use it as a media of exchange. China is actively buying the Gold and , in my opinion, in case of global financial crisis, they will back renminbi by their precious metals. That may help to prevent the chaos in China and instantly transform renminbi in the world reserve currency ( this is, of course, if Obama will not start the WWIII). In any case, if there will be a safe heaven (and there may be none), it will be China.

Oh, please, please, don't. We need more right-wingers that make silly doom-and-gloom predictions that never come to pass and who make such intelligent political points by calling somebody a Marxist, Socialist, Muslim, or whatever. Alternatively, as my dad occasionally responded when I threatened at age 10 to leave home because I didn't get my way: "Don't let the screen door hit you in the ass on the way out the door!"

Let's see, the global financial system will collapse, gold will go into the toilet (which prediction, of course, is slightly inconsistent with arguing that China is buying up gold and will use it to back their currency), Obama will start WW III (slightly inconsistent with the fact that he's winding down two wars your dear leader started), and the sky will fall. Yea, sure.

Nice try! Nice GOP ploy to dissuade Democrats from voting. Every vote matters.

You really made my day! I hadn't known that I just have to stop by GB's board to read this doomsday nonsense, previously I had it placed somewhere else.

I'll tell you what will happen if you're right, however: You'll be crucified for being American in China. They won't care if you're pro or contra Obama, they'll just care about your nationality. Good luck.

No need to worry, the world is going to end before inauguration day anyway. Haven't you paid attention to the other doomsayers?

Did I mention that I do not like demagogues? I do not like the bullshit you post. Let us see: I did not say that the Gold will go to the toilet. I just said that if the chaos prevail , it will be dangerous to own the gold or use it as a media of exchange in places like US. The hope is that China will be able to preserve the order by backing up their currency by the Gold it is actively buying. Obama may start WW III , since he may have no other choice. He shows a lot of hostility towards China already as we speak. He is undoubtedly Marxist and will try to set up a Marxist dictatorship in case of collapse in US.

Do not throw Muslim thing in the mix: I never mentioned it.

You have been warned and we will see whose predictions were silly. I base my analysis on solid economic data.

I do not care anymore and as Gaybutton suggested busy packing.

This is my last post here but do not make mistake: the country go to hell but ALL OF YOU will too.
