How long can you store bottled beer?

(Food related, so I post it here.)

Many weeks ago, I bought a bottle of Leo beer, hoping I would be able to lure some local boys into my room. This purchase was premature, the bottle is still in my fridge. On the label is printed "FILL 080113" (filled 08.01.2013), but no "best before". How long can you keep beer in the fridge?

(Sidenote: the boy I had an eye on, I saw several empty Chang bottles in front of his room. As I come home from work after 5pm (when selling alcohol is again allowed), I will in future only buy beer when I know I will have guests, and ask them which brand they prefer.)

I'd say you can keep it at least a couple of months. I wouldn't know, however, because beer doesn't survive very long anywhere I am. If I'd call Leo a beer is another question.

The bottle has been stolen by a group of boys I had in my room last month; after lingering in my fridge for about a year, so we will never know.

General remark on inviting groups of boys: don't do it. They make noise, ravage my room, loot my fridge, leave a mess and some of them steal (fortunately only food and drink so far). The problem is to set limits in the beginning, once certain borders are crossed, there is no way back. But some of them are cute, and we talk of interesting subjects, so now I try to get one to come alone (to watch "special movie" - last time they discovered a DVD with straight porn I had to wrestle it out of their hands).

The taste of beer deteriorates with tine. I once bought a crate of Kölsch home and the taste had gone long before the best before date. I suppose keeping it in the fridge helps.
