Thanksgiving in Thailand

Post by Gaybutton »

While so many of us are thinking and posting about the Clinton-Trump election, let's not forget that a major holiday for Americans is Thanksgiving, which will be Thursday, November 24.

Which restaurants will be serving Thanksgiving dinners? In Pattaya the only two I know about at this point are Rich Man-Poor Man and Cuisine au Buerre.

If any of you know of other restaurants that will be serving Thanksgiving dinners, anywhere in Thailand, please post and let us know.

Also, if you already know where you will having your Thanksgiving dinner, including cooking at home, let us know your choice.

Cherry restaurant did one last year, not a buffet, and it was well attended, am sure they wil do the same this year. The problem wuth Thanksgiving at a restaurant is that everyone has a distinct memorey of what a Thanksgiving dinner should be.

Cuisine au Beure has been okay in years past but 'there's nothing like the real thing.' Old men and their memories live on!

One of the most popular spots for the Holidays in Bangkok in recent years has been Bourbon St. Restaurant and Oyster Bar. When I could not find any information on their website about Thanksgiving, I wrote them and they gave me this info:

Thanksgiving is on Thursday and Friday and it will be first-come, first-serve. You do not have to make reservations; we will arrange the seat upon your arrival. The Thanksgiving Buffet starts from noon till 10 pm. (all day) on Thanksgiving Day. And again, on Friday the buffet will start from 5.30 pm. till 10 pm.
