It has been reported, on another board, that Jupiter's lease on their Suriwong premises expires in April and that they will be moving to their other premises 'ForFun' on Silom soi 4 next to Balcony Pub.
I was sitting on the terrace outside Balcony yesterday and watched as workers were erecting a JUPITER sign outside ForFun.
Last night ForFun was opereating as normal.
There is no news yet as to whether ForFun and Jupiter will combine or if Jupiter will take over.
Further stories are saying that they have also acquired another small premises in the soi.

I thought Jupiter was a go-go bar? How can they be moving to Soi 4? Soi Twilight maybe, but moving next to Balcony doesn't sound quite right. Perhaps no longer go-go, just drinks and maybe hosts, sort of like the rest of the neighborhood. Odd.

There is surely nothing that states go-go bars must be in Soi Twilight and not in Soi 4? One of the first go-gp bars - Apollo - scene of many of my early adventures in Thailand was situated above where Sphinx is now. I think it might be a really smart move since Soi 4 seems far busier than so Twilight.
There is also talk that the owner of the Jupiter premises plans to open his own go-go bar there. Hopefully that might be true.

Yes it's true!
The whole front of ForFun on Silom Soi 4, next to Balcony's main bar was yesterday covered by a huge tarpauline.
The tarpauline was advertising the imminent move from Suriwong to Soi 4.

New beginning New Ideas New energy and a further line which I couldn't read because they'd placed tables and chairs in front of it.
The shophouse, formerly a tee shirt shop, next to Balcony's Tiger terrace was open last night as a bar. I understand that this will be a restaurant area. Maybe they were, like a cat, just marking their territory.
Jupiter will be a gogo bar. They certainly have the space and height to match their Suriwong premises (I remember it when it was a big disco/cabaret club called Rome Club).
Perhaps visitors to the still existing Jupiter can glean more information from the boys and staff there.
If only I could figure out how to post photos, I would.
