There are many restaurants on "The Dark Side" worth a try if you live out here or want to try places you usually wouldn't get to if you're staying in the city or around Jomtien. Murphy's Irish Pub is definitely a good choice.
The food is really good, prices very reasonable, nice ambiance, and excellent service. There is even a large swimming pool out the back door. If you wish, you can eat at the poolside and even go for a swim.
The portions are large. The first time I was there I ordered their pea soup and their Irish stew. Both were excellent, but in order to finish it all, you better be very hungry.

Re: Murphy's Irish Pub
I go to the Murphy's on Suk 23, Bangkok, all the time and enjoy the food, drinks and occasional authentic Irish music performances. It's called Scruffy Murphy's. The same, a chain, a branch or not, I don't know. The food looks the same. It's at the end of Soi Cowboy, BTS Asoke.
