Biggest International Pride Event to Take Place in Pattaya in June

The biggest international gay event will arrive in Pattaya, Thailand to offer the ultimate gay dance festival getaway with 4 massive parties.

The creators of Asia’s biggest parties – WHITE PARTY BANGKOK & S2O Songkran Music Festival, have teamed up with the producers of the World’s biggest international gay event – Circuit Festival Barcelona – to produce a party of epic proportions; Circuit Festival Asia.

Parties typically run from Friday, June 23rd, through to Sunday, June 25th, and feature world-famous guest DJs from the circuit scene, the hottest GoGos from Asia and Europe and the sexiest guys from across the world, ready to party.

Previous events have included Pervert, AfterSun, Meat Market and La Leche.

GB has a rather long list of things he doesn’t get. Well, I’ll add to my list Pride celebrations, do straight people have celebrations of their sexuality? Years ago I lived in N.Y.C. every Halloween the was a gay parade in Greenwich Village mostly outrageous drag queens others dressed in full leather outfits, it was little more than a freak show, do they represent average gay folk and is this the images we gays want to represent us?

I hope not. I hope it is similar to the Taipei pride parade. I've never been, but the photos I've seen certainly look like what I hope to see. I hope there will be many more participants besides local bar boys.

Agreed. These parades often don't represent the average person in the gay community.
I think part of that might be down to people who look and dress near conventionally not being interested in participating in such parades.

I think the Taipei gay pride photos posted on gay forums have been curated by people with similar tastes to ourselves.

I hope there will be many more participants besides local bar boys.

From the online photos I have seen of Pattaya gay pride parade events, the participants were more lady boys and relatively few proper boys.

Of course, the newsworthy link in the opening post suggest the event will have a few parties and one parade.
I will bet that guessing the current participants in this thread will NOT be going to the parties and doing a write up on this forum (based on track record).

The other link in the opening post is promoting a hotel up in Nakluea. That's not my idea of a good hotel location for the Pattaya gay scene. Such sites tend to compile any old information, with no regard for accuracy just so they can draw a few punters in & earn money for promoting hotels.

Pattaya to Host Pattaya Community Pride Parade 2023 on Jomtien Beach on June 10th

Pattaya Mayor Poramase Ngamphichet met with the Swing LGBTQ+ group yesterday, May 30th, to discuss the preparation of the Pattaya Community Pride 2023 parade on June 10th.

The meeting took place at Pattaya City Hall. The non-profit Swing group met with Poramase to discuss security and necessary facilities for the parade preparations.

The Pattaya Community Pride parade will take place on June 10th from 3 PM to 6 PM along Jomtien Beach, starting at Chaiyapruek Intersection and concluding at Jomtien Complex, covering a distance of 3.5 kilometers.

The Swing group said the purpose of the event was to symbolically demonstrate support for diversity and promote gender equality in society. The event also aimed to stimulate tourism in Pattaya.

Central Mall and Marina are also set to celebrate pride events throughout the next month.

If there will be, I haven't found any publicity about it yet. But I would think if there is no special preparation in Boyztown or any of the gay venue areas it would be because the boys will all be participating in the parade.

Don't forget, gay pride extends far beyond just bars. There are plenty of gays who have nothing to do with the bars - and my guess is probably many more than do have any association with the bars. Maybe if you go to the parade you can reel one in as they swim by . . .

One more reminder that the centre of the gay scene has shifted away from South Pattaya.

But I would think if there is no special preparation in Boyztown or any of the gay venue areas it would be because the boys will all be participating in the parade

They finish at Jomtien complex.

In all the pictures I've seen of previous parades, I've yet to see a boy that I recognise in one of them.

I hope some of the expats will be out with their SLR cameras and zoom lenses to capture a few pictures for us.
