Sorry, to answer questions about what I want trump to do. Basically the less, the better! He hopefully will solve the border mess. Put criminals in jail. Leave health care alone. And keep us out of war. Go face to face with Putin, and Asian leaders. Like he already had done . And fix inflation.

Starting with Trump? Unless I missed something, isn't Trump a convicted criminal?

I don't know what makes you think Harris couldn't or wouldn't do the things you list, but you're certainly entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine.

I am not totally closed minded about Trump. I do agree about the need for strict, effective border control and, while I know some would entirely disagree with me, I also agree that people living in the USA who entered illegally should be deported when caught. I believe that would happen in any country where people who are there illegally are caught. Thailand deports people caught in the country illegally no matter how long they have been in Thailand and I believe Thailand is right to do so. I don't know why the USA should be any different. However, I cannot agree with separating children from their parents or children placed in detention centers under any circumstances.

Also, giving credit where it is due, Trump did get North Korea off our backs with their constant threats.

I also like that Trump wants to end Social Security tax. I agree with that. After all, we seniors paid into it all our working lives and I don't like being taxed for it now that I am benefiting from it - to me that's the same as just paying in more - similar to robbing Peter to pay Paul. However, ending the tax would also mean Social Security running out of money sooner unless they come up with a way to replace that money. And I haven't heard a word about it, either way, from the Democrats.

Other than that, I can't think of anything else I like or agree with about Trump.

Isn't anyone else going to chime in and post their opinions? I hope so. If not, then it's just Rocket and me having our debate.

You’re sounding reasonable. I’m glad you’re focusing on policy.

The border and foreign policy imho are Trumps strengths.

I didn’t like his tax cuts for corporations in 2018. It was fine where it was and it created a stock market bubble.

I think the republicans would like to see social security go bankrupt. It’s on course for running out of money. Ending the tax would not be good. We need to raise taxes and cut spending. But neither party will do it.

Minus all the drama and crazy appointments Trump made during his four years, it really wasn’t bad.

As far as I'm concerned, yes it was. Saying and doing terrible things just about every day. I would not want a continuation of it for four more years. And if Trump is still alive at the end of those four years, do you really think he won't try to come up with a way to hold on to power?

Does the Republican party of today even remotely resemble the Republican party of Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, or Bush? I'd take any one of them over Trump.

I'm truly fed up with what has happened to politics in the USA. I've said this many times: "The country I grew up in no longer exists." And I don't like what it has become. I believe if Trump gets back in office the result will be things will get worse, much worse, than they are already.

I thought Nixon didn't exactly have a clean record.

Also, there were two president Bushes. I thought George W was as dim as you could get for a president, until Trump came along & redefined expectations for being unfit to govern.

I'm all for a good low tax right wing government, but the leaders should also have intelligence and behave in an honourable & respectful way.

Compared to Trump Nixon was lily white. I'd easily take Nixon and either one of the Bushes over Trump. I'd even take Spiro Agnew over Trump or even Dan Quayle.

No, I don’t believe Trump will try to stay in power after four years. The rest of his party will not let him.
One reason I like Trump is his criticism of the Bush/ Cheney war back in 2003. That debacle is one reason we have inflation now.

So you would take Nixon over Trump? The one who wanted to nuke Vietnam to win the war they were losing.
I don’t like the idea of Asians having their faces melted off. Even that was going too far for the scumbag Kissinger.

I would take your neighbor's dog over Trump. I didn't say Nixon was a good guy, but in my opinion he would still be a better choice than Trump.

7 men under Nixon were convicted. How many under Trump, including Trump himself, have been convicted, lost lawsuits, and were disbarred? I lost count.

If I haven't made it clear, I want Harris to win the presidential election and Trump to lose. Let him accuse the election being stolen again - with just as much evidence as he had in the Biden election - none of any kind at all.

Fortunately for you and other democrats, Trump is a lousy politician. I think he could have beaten Biden if he had taken Covid seriously. He lost the elderly vote there. Would have made the difference.

Now he’s attacking the Governor of Georgia, a state he needs. It’s bad enough the media is against him. He can be his own worst enemy.

Let’s see if Harris will agree to a debate sponsored by Fox, not just her homies at ABC.
