Just putting this out there to see if anyone has some suggestions. I used to go to a restaurant in Jomtien (there was also another one with the same name on Walking Street) that I loved, but I can’t remember the name and don’t know if they are still there.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Vientiane???
Everything on their menu was wonderful, but I especially liked their oysters thus the reason Vientiane came to mind.
Unfortunately, both locations are now closed.

The local restaurants probably get their oysters at the Lan Po market in Naklua. I love oysters too, but for me it's not the oysters themselves that make the difference. It's the way they're prepared that does it for me. I like them both raw and cooked. The better Thai restaurants have all kinds of ways of cooking them. You might want to try some of the Thai oyster dishes.
Soon I will be trying this recipe at home:

I tried that recipe and it worked beautifully. The oysters were really good.
