Re: Boys Requesting Money
That does answer the question. They deliver. I can't imagine they would object to picking up the object yourself.
Do they charge for delivery?
Re: Boys Requesting Money
I meant I take the item with me after paying for it. When I won a large television I paid a baht bus driver 200 baht to deliver it , and another to deliver a marble table. I never thought to ask if they delivered. Probably do for a nominal fee.
I always took a motorcycle taxi to get there. There’s another auction house in north pattaya but I don’t think it’s as good as the one in jomtien. I haven’t been to either place for a few years, maybe I’ll go when I return soon. I do like statues, which they sometimes have. Just wish I had a bit more room in my condo for stuff.

Re: Boys Requesting Money
We are getting way off the subject of boys requesting money. Let's get back to it.
Re: Boys Requesting Money
I did set up a thread for second hand goods purchases.,

On topic, I've had no requests for money for 11 days. This is an improvement.

Re: Boys Requesting Money
The count stops at 11 days. A request for money "for the room" has just arrived.
However, he pays the rent at the beginning of each month and obviously today is the 22nd. Also, his request was higher than the monthly rent.

Re: Boys Requesting Money
Why am I not surprised? The only thing that would surprise me would be if his is the only "money for room" request you'll receive.
I usually get similar requests around the end of the month. I never give them the money they want. I've said it before and it's true - in all my years living in Thailand, I have never seen any of the boys claiming they don't have room rent money actually lose his room.
I even still get requests from boys I have turned down several times. I guess they figure it can't hurt to ask.
There have also been many times over the years when I did give the money to a boy requesting it, but only to boys I know VERY well, don't try coming to me for money every two minutes, and I believe is really telling me the truth, especially if he's not a bar boy.

It goes without saying I only even consider the request if from a boy I know very well.Gaybutton wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 5:39 am There have also been many times over the years when I did give the money to a boy requesting it, but only to boys I know VERY well, don't try coming to me for money every two minutes, and I believe is really telling me the truth, especially if he's not a bar boy.
If someone I've never met asks, he will be ignored. Unless he looks like someone I'd like to meet, he also gets blocked.
So far, I've also never sent money to anyone who I've just met once or twice. There are reasons why I only met them once or twice.
Only the boys I know require any thought. Some of those fail to meet any of your other 3 criteria.
