"A co-founder of online fashion giant Asos died after falling from a high-rise apartment block in Thailand, police have said.
Quentin Griffiths has been named by Thai police as the man found dead on the ground in the eastern seaside city of Pattaya on 9 February.
A police investigator told the BBC Griffiths, a British passport holder, was by himself, his room was locked from the inside, and there was no trace of any break-ins at the time of the death. An autopsy did not reveal any evidence of foul play"

Do they ever even look for evidence of foul play ?

Yes they do. And they often find it. Trouble is, I rarely see much of anything has been done once they've found it . . .

For the vast majority of these suspicious sounding deaths, they never find anything. When was the last time you heard of someone being pushed off a balcony?
The stories I've heard from people close and very close to suspicious deaths raise alarm bells.

You wrote "Do they ever even look for evidence of foul play ?" And I said they do. Whether they find any evidence of it, I don't know. Sorry, I also didn't know "foul play" is limited to being pushed off a balcony.

Falling off balcony deaths are nothing unusual in Pattaya. It is not uncommon for these deaths to happen as often as once or even twice per week. Whether any or all of them are murders, I have no idea. I'm not going to play armchair detective or make assumptions when I have absolutely no evidence to back it up. If you do have evidence, I'd like to know what it is.

I don't know whether most of these balcony deaths are the result of foul play, suicide, or accident. Do you?

Of course I don't know. I'd imagine most are accidents or suicides. Accidents aided by balcony railings that are too low. However, I'm far from convinced that all fall into that category.

Looking at certain balcony falls and at least one other death, some of what I hear raises severe doubts.

I don't expect a consensus on that.

I agree that some do look suspiciously like foul play, but I believe most are probably accidental - drunk, drugs, or just plain being stupid. Some are suicides.
