Singapore Hotel Ideas

Hello. I am going to Singapore in December and am looking for a nice hotel (moderately priced - 2000 Baht or there abouts per night). I am going to see "Wicked" which is at The Marina Bay Sands Casino/Hotel in the "City Centre" part of Singapore -- so it would need to be close by to that if possible.

Please advise.

The casino is about 13,000 a night. A little bit out of my budget. Any other suggestions?

I always stay in the Landmark Village but my room now is from 280 Sin$ near Bugis Metro.

I don't know of any hotels under around US$250 close to the Marina Bay Sands - especially in the peak December season. The nearest area to consider is probably Chinatown. Since your main objective is to see "Wicked", make sure you get to the Marina Bay complex early, because taxis can be very difficult to find during rush hour. Most of the restaurants in the hotel and the shopping complex are expensive. But there is a circular food court on the bottom floor quite close to the theatre where you can eat beforehand. Note: when you check search engines for hotel prices, most omit the 17.7% total for service charge and tax until you get to the last page!

2000Baht a night in Singapore? You are very out of touch, The rooms at Queen Residence are the most BASIC [room with a bed, often no windows]and you do not even get one of the better ones for that. $S85 is the cheapest with a 'small' double bed. But of course there is the all night action downstairs.

No where with buffet breakfast for $30 p.n. like in Bangkok at Pinnacle.
